For the Adventurous

International Field Studies (IFS) trips are typically between 10 days to three-weeks in duration and cost between $1,500 – $3,500 depending on the destination. IFS provided by NC are for the adventurous at heart! Journeys may require a high degree of physical fitness to accommodate for hikes and site visits. There are also a number of different styles of accommodation from shared dorm rooms to home-stay. Western comforts of hot showers and electricity are not guaranteed!

Be World Ready Travel Grant

Full time students can access the Be World Ready Travel Grant to offset field study costs.

Gain Credit While Traveling!

Students can earn General Education or Liberal Studies Elective credits through enrollment in SOCL 1127: The Global Classroom. Students must complete a series of independent learning activities upon return from their international destination. Contact us at djewer@niagaracollege.ca for course registration details.

Please Note

All IFS students are required to attend pre-departure and risk-management training delivered by Niagara International.
